Interested in being a Guest Player?

The Soctober Fest provides many opportunities for players to guest play at the event.  Please click on the link below to register as a Guest Player

Guest Players: Register as Guest Player

In order to register as a guest player, you will have to create an individual player profile in GotSoccer. It's as easy as 1,2,3. Follow the 3 steps listed and then you will be entered into the guest player pool in your age group. Teams that have been accepted will be able to view your profile and contact you if they are interested.

Step #1

  • Go to www.gotsport.com and click on ‘Player Account’

  • On the right side of the screen, you will see

  • New Players
Not registered yet? No problem! Click below:

  • Click the tab to register

Step #2

  • Fill out the basic information in the fields provided and press save

  • Once you save the basic information your ‘player account’ has been created. Now you can fill out the rest of your information including:

  • Your picture, parent’s information and college recruiting information. Please fill out as much information as possible

Step #3

  • Once your player profile is complete with up-to-date, accurate information you will have to apply as a guest player for the Soctober Fest

  • To do this you:

    • Click on the ‘Tournaments’ tab on the top of the webpage in the green toolbar

    • Search by ‘Tournament Name’

    • Enter Soctober Fest Tournament

    • You will see the Soctober Fest event, click on the tab that says ‘Apply as Guest Player’

    • After you click the tab that says ‘Apply as Guest Player’ you will see the event information. On the right hand on the screen, you will click the tab that says ‘Submit Application’

    • Now your Guest Player Application has been submitted

If you follow these steps then you will be successfully entered into the guest player pool for the Soctoberfest event and teams/coaches will be able to contact you directly if they need guest players. Other than offering this sign-up the event does not, unfortunately, aid in the placement of guest players.

  3. After the ball is put into play by the goalkeeper, the opposing team can cross the Build-Out Line and play resumes as normal.

  4. The build out line will be marked mid-way between the top of the penalty box and the halfway line.

  6. Restarts/ Free-kicks: All free-kicks outside of the penalty area will be indirect.

  7. All restarts from inside the penalty area will conform to FIFA rules for penalty kicks, which will be marked 8 yards from the goal line.

PEARSON ATHLETIC CAMPUS

Pearson Athletic Campus situated on 200 acres, is located in the heart of Northern Michigan on the Boyne Mountain Resort properties. The facility was completed in the Fall of 2017 and harbors 6 full-size playing fields, with room to grow! The Pearson Athletic Campus and is dedicated to Michigan Senator William Pearson.  The story has it that in 1947, after cutting his teeth on Otsego Ski Club’s 250 vertical-foot slope, Everett Kircher was convinced that Michigan was ready for more.

That summer, accompanied by two friends and a pile of topographical maps, Everett identified his mark: a 1,150 foot rise with more than 500 feet of skiable vertical. But where Everett saw pure potential, the owner of the property a Michigan senator and Boyne Falls logger named William Pearson – saw folly.

Fortunately, Senator Pearson had a sense of humor – and his response is now the stuff of Boyne legend: “Anyone damn-fool enough to want to build a ski hill, well…I’ll give you the property.” When the details were ironed out, the Senator delivered, and Everett paid $1 for what would become Boyne Mountain’s first 40 acres. Michigan skiing would never be the same.

In remembrance of the history-changing event Boyne once again recognizes the importance of sports.  Boyne is currently working to revitalize Senator Pearson's family homestead which is accompanied by 200 acres that we know as the Pearson Athletic Campus.
